Alex and Meagan came to visit the week after we got back from Christmas Vacation! It was a nice treat! After having so many people around at home...things tapered off slowly rather than it just being the three of us all at once! Alex helped John hang rope lights on our back deck...they are so fun! It was a nice relaxing week.
Later in January we had John's birthday, Anna's first official portrait (which is beautiful...maybe I can take pictures of the pictures to post later, Anna's first steps, and Da's 80th Birthday party where Heyward shared his popsicle with Anna! He is going to be such a great big brother to Laurie Beth who will be here VERY soon!
We can't wait! Anna thought the popsicle was the best thing in the world! It was the cutest thing to watch them...Heyward took a lick and then gave Anna a lick...until Anna discovered that it could be bitten!
Anna also discovered Mama Brown's piano. We have put her on the bench and let her bang on the keys, but this time she just walked right up to it and started playing. Let's hope she will WANT to learn to play it some day! Maybe I could be the one to teach her how! Yeah Right!
